SUMMARY:CANCELLED! YPOP - In the Community: Palm Beach Dramaworks
DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy theatre to think about with Palm Beach Dramaworks. \n\n\n\nJoin us at a wine and cheese reception before seeing the world premiere of The Messenger\, by Jenny Connell Davis. \n\n\n\nNetworking isn't just about building referrals\, it's about supporting the community! As a finalist of our Non-Profit of the Year Award in 2023\, PB Dramaworks has been providing theatre to think about since 2000! \n\n\n\nTheir Mission: \n\nPalm Beach Dramaworks believes in the transformative power of live theatre and is committed to producing classic\, contemporary\, and world premiere plays that entertain\, enlighten\, stimulate discussion\, and illuminate our shared humanity. We are equally dedicated to creating new works and cultivating new audiences\, upholding the original objectives of the regional theatre movement. We recognize and value the power of education\, offering inspiring\, life changing programs for students\, and through provoking initiatives for adults. \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Messenger by Jenny Connell Davis: \n\nA meditation on the connections between past\, present\, and future\, and on the choice between speaking up and speaking out\, regardless of the consequences\, or remaining silent for the sake of preservation. Inspired by the life of Hungarian Holocaust survivor Georgia Gabor\, the play interweaves her story with that of a young woman facing racial discrimination in this country in 2020.
