DESCRIPTION:This workshop is for artists that paint both abstract and representational work. Students will explore techniques and concepts in painting with emphasis on individual development of style and theme. We will investigate various approaches to representational and abstract painting and the metaphorical meaning in landscape paintings. Students will discover how a basic image can be transformed into a personal statement through the process of painting and the artist's imagination. Students are encouraged to experiment with ideas and techniques with the purpose of developing a personal expression.\n\n\n\nPower point presentation of works from masters and contemporary artists will be presented to complement studio and landscape projects in classes.
