DESCRIPTION:SIDE BY SIDE Exhibition  Jill Enfield- The New Americans I Diane Farris- In the Light of the Present\n\nJill Enfield is a photographer\, author\, and professor working in New York. Her two books: Photo Imaging: A Complete Guide To Alternative Processes \, and Jill En field's Guide to Alternative Processes: Popular Historical and Contem porary Techniques\, are both award winning books.Enfield strives to make her portraits tangible displays of heritage\, genealogy\, homeland\, and transition. Some of today's "New Americans\," have an easier physical journey by air than their prede cessors did in steerage\, but their risks are just as great\, their fears just as valid. In each of the wet-plate collodion images\, The New Americans are heroes\, each with his or her own inspirational story. \n\nDiane Farris is an artist/photographer working in Gainesville\, Florida. Her work has been widely collected and published\, with several public commissions and books. Farris expresses her approach to photography: "I strive to be present with my work in this time\, our time\, while honoring what came before - and considering what we will leave to our children and grand-children. I am currently working with images of books and people\, home\, nature and sustain ability and the Castelli Romani area of Italy\, as well as exploring handmade books." shows in 2018 were in Basel\, Switzerland and at the Palazzo Chigi in Ariccia\, Italy\, "Nella Luce del Presente".

LOCATION:The Palm Beach Photographic Centre is located at 415 Clematis St.\, West Palm Beach\, FL 33401 You can park in the building on the corner of Banyan and Dixie which is just across the Courtyard to our office. There is also a parking garage on the corner of Banyan andQuadrill.
