America's Doctor, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Emmy® Award-winning host of The Dr. Oz Show, will once again headline the WPBF 25 Health & Wellness Festival. The free event takes place Saturday April 2, 2016, from 10am to 4pm at The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens. "America's Doctor" will help attendees empower and transform their lives with his entertaining new presentation focused on the top health issues affecting South Floridians right now, from protecting yourself from the Zika virus and skin cancer, to warding off diabetes and heart disease. Dr. Oz will lead a discussion among a panel of distinguished medical professionals zeroing in on topics important to local families, and he will extend an important personal health challenge to the audience. Dr. Oz will welcome his special guest, beloved personality and health advocate Suzanne Somers. The successful actress, singer, author, lecturer and entrepreneur will share her advice for aging better, eating healthier and looking younger. She’ll also discuss her own cancer scare, alternative therapies and simple ways to commit to a healthier lifestyle every day. Dr. Oz’s wife Lisa Oz, bestselling author and The Good Life Magazine editor-at-large, also returns to share delicious real-food recipes from the Oz family home and her new cookbook The Oz Family Kitchen. Her presentation will feature live cooking demonstrations and healthy eating advice to help attendees prepare easy and nutritious meals. Dozens of sought-after local health and wellness professionals will be on hand throughout the mall. They’ll be personally answering questions and showcasing cutting-edge products, procedures, and services. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to meet and photograph themselves with their favorite WPBF 25 News Anchors including Felicia Rodriguez, Todd McDermott, Tiffany Kenney, Paul LaGrone, Erin Guy, Stephanie Berzinski, Mike Lyons, Sandra Shaw, Cris Martinez and others. The Kid Zone will offer families a healthy dose of fun with face painting, balloon animals and other children’s activities; and the WPBF 25 First Alert Weather Team will present their popular Mini Meteorologist Experience. Experts at the WPBF 25 Digital Center will help attendees stay connected, outfitting their devices with the latest WPBF 25 apps.
