A.C.T. (Alternative Clean Transportation) For Wildlife

Description

Walk, Bike, Carpool, or Bus to the Palm Beach Zoo to reduce carbon emissions and help save wildlife…and get in for half price!

• You can get half price Zoo admission on this day if you use Alternative Clean Transportation such as:
  • Bicycle - park your bike in our bike valet area and get your coupon from the attendant
  • Public transit – get your coupon when you get off the bus at the Summit Blvd. bus bench outside the Zoo, or show a selfie of your bus ride to the volunteer at the bus bench (ex: if you get off at some other stop and walk the remainder your trip to the Zoo)
  • Walk – please get your coupon at the bus bench area
  • Carpool – show that two or more households carpooled to the Zoo in your vehicle (adults’ id with different addresses will suffice)
  • Drive an Electric Vehicle (ex: Nissan Leaf, Tesla, etc.) or Hybrid Vehicle (ex: Prius, Insight, any other clearly marked hybrid)
• Free bike helmet and fitting for the first 150 guests!
• Visit information displays around the Zoo and complete your Passport To Transportation  to learn ways to help the environment, save wildlife, and win prizes!
• See BMW's amazing new zero tailpipe emission, electric vehicle...the BMW i3 on display all day in the Fountain Plaza.
• In cooperation with FDOT, South Florida Commuter Services, Palm Beach MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization), Alert Today – Alive Tomorrow, the City of West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability Sustainable Initiatives, and the City of West Palm Beach Transportation Management Initiative.
