The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society has come to West Palm Beach to present their version of A Christmas Carol. An unfortunate mishap has left the British troupe 4 players short, But, The Show Must Go On! Armed with their wits and creativity, four Women and one stage manager bring this Christmas Carol to life! Described by Samuel French, in a festive mood, the ladies mount another assault on the classics with their stage version of A Christmas Carol. They enthusiastically portray a dizzy array of characters from the Dickensian favorite (and a few which aren’t), engineer some novel audience participation while bravely contending with an intrusive PA systemand a real Farndale first wrap their vocal chords and feet around two original, show stopping songs. “Another classic dramatic massacre that enthralls.” Independent. “Not since the Monty Python mob dressed up as The Batley Townswomen’s Guild an re enacted the Battle of Pearl Harbor with their handbags have I tittered so much.” Daily Express. “Hilarious.” Guardian. The Unexpected Theatre Experience co-producing the show with the Cuillo Centre for the Arts. The cast and crew are as follows: John Carlile is the Producing Director and Gordon Pugh in the play. John has worked with Palm Beach Shakespeare, Palm Beach Dramaworks, and Storymakers. Rae Randall is the Artistic Director with a BFA degree in Drama/Dance/Voice from the North Carolina School of The Arts; an MFA in Acting/Directing from The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C.; has trained with such professionals as William Ball (ACT-San Francisco), Joseph Chakin (Open Theatre-NYC), Tom Haas (IN), and movement expertsGraciela Binaghi and Marcel Marceau.. Krystina Parker is Mrs Reese and has worked with Palm BeachShakespeare. Greta vonUnruh is Thelma Greenwood and has also worked with Palm Beach Shakespeare. Dusti Sharpe is Mercedes and has worked with MOD 27 and Storymakers. Rounding out the cast is Melissa Smith as Felicity who has worked with Palm Beach Atlantic University as well as Storymakers.
