Tickets $25.00 Local playwright David Nathie Barnes returns to the Cuillo Centre for the Arts with A Love Lost Life, prior to his Chicago Center for the Performing Arts bow in the fall of 2009. This time at the Cuillo Centre for the Arts, in the spirit of Brando’s philanthropic work, the cast ofAlove Lost Life is working pro bono and will be donating a portion of each ticket sold to the charity of the purchasers choice. Organizations working with the production are: Hospice of Palm Beach County, where writer Barnes volunteers, American Red Cross of Greater Palm Beach, Partners International Women and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A Love Lost Life tells of the bonds and barriers betweenfathers and sons manifesting in Brando’s own efforts to understand fatherhood. It also showcases his feelings towards his father and his confusion about being a father to his own children. Brando’sfinal years inspired the author’s title and focus. Christian Brando, Marlon’s oldest child, is a central character in Barnes’ play. The Oscar-winning actor’s son and Barnes spoke over the telephone onmore than one occasion. Barnes was pleased that Christian not only read, but approved of the script. “He said that I had captured his anger and frustration, the futility of living up to the Brando name,” said Barnes. “He was truly a lost soul.” Continually being revised and restructured since its lastperformances, Barnes (of Jupiter) is confident that A Love Lost Life is better than ever. Though Marlon Brando was a famously private man, what we indisputably do know about him is that hechanged the way actors act. The ensemble cast of A Love Lost Life has received much kudos for prior performances., Robert Ashkenas reprises his highly touted performance as Marlon at age 80. ElanaVital, plays Tarita, (Brando’s first wife) and Cheyenne Brando., Kendra Adams, Marilyn Monroe look-a-like, once again takes on the role of her ‘twin.’ New to the cast is popular Miami actor Cliff Burgess playing Brando at ages 25 and 30. Justin Sims once again plays the role of James Dean. RichardCerda playing the role of Jay Kantor, Marlon’s longtime friend and agent. Augustin Kennady; known mostrecently for an 11-minute short film adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s The Lottery, as well as directing the music video Coexiste for Spanish pop/rock band Origen, directs A Love Lost Life. David NathieBarnes plays the role of Christian Brando. Barnes has worked on many projects in south and centralFlorida such as the short film Anatomia (winner best local short Miami Underground Film Fest, nowavailable on amazon.com) and 9:04am. Barnes can also been seen in recent ITT and Panda Kitchens commercials. A Love Lost Life plays at the Cuillo Centre for the Arts, 201 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach.
