Description
Learn all about Melissa McKinlay and her career path to becoming Vice President of WGI, Inc.
Presented by the Women in Business Committee
Melissa is an award-winning community advocate and single mother of three great kids – all of whom are young adults now! She spent her career fighting to make sure other moms like her have access to resources to care for their families. Whether it was in her role as Mayor or volunteer, she holds strong to the Junior League pillars of promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community – an organization she’s served for nearly 30 years. After terming out of office two years ago, Melissa joined the executive leadership team of West Palm Beach-based national engineering firm, WGI, as Vice President of Government Relations. She now quite literally works for a firm dedicated to building stronger, more resilient communities. Melissa has a hard time saying no to meaningful community volunteer opportunities and also serves as the Chair of the Homeless Coalition and on the boards of the South Florida Fair, the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Florida Gulfstream Council and, most recently, County Commissioner Maria Sachs’ Housing Task Force.
