Description:
A bad online reputation in the form of bad reviews, slander, negative comments or any other type of damaging content can cost companies and business professionals millions of dollars in lost revenues. In this talk George Magalios, president of The Sophia Group, gives tips on how to prevent negative content and how to turn it into an advantage once it appears. He will demonstrate how negative online content can be the impetus for a comprehensive campaign that results in new business using techniques with high rates of return on investment. The talk will include examples of professionals in diverse industries who are succeeding online and those who are failing. This talk will demonstrate how businesses can insulate against damaging press and create positive profiles.
Presenter Bio:
George Magalios is president and founder of The Sophia Group (Mediasophia, Legalsophia, Beautysophia and Sophistar). The Sophia Group is a conglomerate of marketing agencies with offices in New York and West Palm Beach. Mr. Magalios is also a distinguished lecturer on business and marketing topics such as online reputation management and entrepreneurship. He has taught at Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh and, on a pro bono basis at the West Palm Beach Public Library. His course at the West Palm Beach Public Library was called “How to Start a Successful Business” and was attended by many entrepreneurs from many age groups.
Mr. Magalios is also active in state-of-the-art Internet Marketing research where he is developing a new form of organic Search Engine Optimization called “SophiaSearch”. This product will be submitted for patent review in 2014. Mr. Magalios is also active in various philanthropic endeavors in the local business community.
