Description
WALKERS WILL LIGHT THE NIGHT TO RAISE FUNDS & AWARENESS FOR CANCER RESEARCH The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night® Walk is a national fundraising walk to commemorate and celebrate lives touched by cancer. The unique feature of this walk – it is a 2 mile evening walk! All fundraising participants carry an illuminated red balloon, while cancer patients and survivors carryilluminated white balloons. Prior to the walk, participants are invited to share in food, live entertainment and fun! The Walks are a means of creating public awareness about blood cancers and their devastating effects on families. Light The Night also raises funds to help support the LLS mission of finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and to improving the quality of life of patients and their families. Participants walk as members of corporate teams, friend & family teams or as individuals. The participants seek donations by conducting fundraising events, as well as by encouraging friends, family and co-workers to sponsor their participation.
