The Catherine T. MacArthur School of Leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University and the Palm BeachAtlantic University Alumni Association present An Evening with Dr. Kent Keith at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, in the DeSantis Family Chapel, 300 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach. The event is freeand open to the public. Dr. Kent Keith is a dynamic speaker and author whose mission is to help people find personal meaning in a crazy world. He is the chief executive officer of the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, an international non-profit organization headquartered in Indiana. Over the years, Dr. Keith has given more than 900 presentations, conference papers and seminars ona wide variety of topics. His current presentations and seminars are focused on servant leadershipand finding personal meaning at home and at work. He has been featured on the front page of The NewYork Times and in People magazine, The Washington Post, The San Francisco Chronicle, and Family Circle. He was interviewed by Katie Couric on the NBC Today Show and by Dr. Schuller on The Hour of Power. He has appeared on dozens of television shows and more than 100 radio programs in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. Dr. Keith is known nationally and internationally as the author of the Paradoxical Commandments, which he wrote and published in 1968 in a booklet for studentleaders. His book, Anyway: The Paradoxical Commandments was published by G. P. Putnam's Sons in 2002and became a national bestseller. His narration of Anyway: The Paradoxical Commandments won a national "Audie" award from the Audio Publishers Association as the best audiobook of 2003 in the personal development/motivational category. His next book, Do It Anyway: The Handbook for Finding PersonalMeaning and Deep Happiness in a Crazy World, was published by Inner Ocean Publishing in 2003. His third book, Jesus Did It Anyway: The Paradoxical Commandments for Christians, was published by G. P. Putnam's Sons in 2005. His latest book, Have Faith Anyway: The Vision of Habakkuk for Our Times, waspublished by Jossey-Bass in 2008. Dr. Keith is also the author of the Universal Moral Code, a set offundamental moral principles that can be found throughout the world. He earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard University, a master’s in philosophy and politics from Oxford University, a certificate in Japanese from Waseda University in Tokyo, a juris doctorate from the Universityof Hawaii, and a doctorate in education from the University of Southern California. He is a RhodesScholar. Dr. Keith practiced law and worked in government, construction, higher education and non-profit organizations. Established in 1989, Catherine T. MacArthur School of Leadership serves nearly 500 adult, non-traditional students. Presently, the school offers the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and Master of Science in Leadership degree programs in West Palm Beach, Orlando and Wellington. In addition, the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management is offered online. The school has 12 full-time and 77 part-time faculty members, and more than 2,400 alumni.
