St. Mark's Episcopal Church & School will host its second annual Men's Breakfast to benefit its Cornerstone Scholarship on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Coleman Hall, 3395 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens. Tickets for this year's football-themed event are available online at www.stmarkspbg.org/cornerstone. The event is open to the public and expected to sell-out. All ages are welcome to attend. There will be supervised games and fun activities for children up to eight years old.
On the heels of the College Football National Championship and NFL Super Bowl, St. Mark's is ready for some football as they welcome guest speaker, Deltha O'Neal, former NFL player with the Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, and the New England Patriots. Join us to hear stories of his days as a former college and professional football player for nine seasons and a two-time Pro Bowl selection. An autograph session will follow the event.
“The cornerstone scholarship program aims to transform the lives of children in underserved neighborhoods in our local communities,” said Ron McElhone, St. Mark’s Chief Financial Officer. “With the support of generous sponsors within the community, we identify students of promise and partner with their families to provide an exceptional education for those as young as two through eighth grade. This is a win-win event as we raise funds to help underwrite the costs related to a student’s education and life at St. Mark’s Episcopal School.”
Event co-chairs Jonathan Diamond and Ray Robison, school parents, are strong advocates for education and the Cornerstone Scholarship, and they will host the program along with event emcees, Tony Pirozzi and his son, Cal Pirozzi, an eighth grade student who has attended St. Mark's School since he was in preschool. "This breakfast will be a time of friendship and fellowship, but the cause is so important," shares Ray Robison. "This is a chance to provide an exceptional education for deserving children who lack the available resources.”
