Transportation Infrastructure Breakfast
The September Breakfast will feature a panel discussion on the economic impact of the transportation industry on Palm Beach County. Our panelists, Laura Beebe, director of Palm Beach County Department of Airports, Clinton Forbes, Executive Director of Palm Tran, and Michael Meekins, executive director of the Port of Palm Beach, will provide insight into the future of transportation in our region.
About Laura Beebe: Director of Airports, Palm Beach County Department of Airports
Ms. Beebe has served as the Director of Airports for the Palm Beach County Department of Airports since January 2019 and is responsible for the management and operation of Palm Beach County?s airport system, which includes the Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) located in West Palm Beach, Florida, and three general aviation airports. PBI serves more than 7 million passengers annually and was named the 5th Best Domestic Airport in Travel + Leisure Magazine's 2022 World's Best Awards and 7th Best Airport in the U.S. in Conde Nast Traveler?s 2021 Readers? Choice Awards. PBI was also named the 7th Best Airport in the World in Conde Nast Traveler?s 2020 Readers? Choice Awards.
Beebe has more than 25 years? experience in aviation management and law. Beebe served as the Deputy Director of Airports Business Affairs for the Palm Beach County Department of Airports prior to her promotion to Director of Airports and as an Assistant County Attorney for Palm Beach County, representing the Department of Airports in all aviation legal matters prior to joining the Department of Airports. Beebe received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida?s College of Journalism and Communications and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida?s College of Law. Beebe is a Certified Member of American Association of Airport Executives and an active member of the Florida Bar.
