PRESS RELEASE ‘WOMEN LEADERSHIP IN THE NEXT DECADE’ THEME OF GOVERNOR‘S CLUB SPEAKER SYMPOSIUM October 26-- Harris, Klein and local leaders to speak PALM BEACH and WEST PALM BEACH, FL, OCTOBER 11th, 2006: The Business Council and Professional Women of the Governor‘s Club of the Palm Beaches announced today its sponsorship of a bipartisan speakers symposium: “Countdown 2006: Women Leadership in the Next Decade”. All proceeds will go to Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Palm Beach. The “meet and greet” breakfast will be held on October 26th. at the President’s Club at 2300 Presidential Way off of Congress in West Palm Beach beginning at 7: 30 am. A distinguished panel of speakers and guests will include US Representative Kathryn Harris, State Senator Ron Klein, West Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel and Palm Beach Town Council member Susan Markin. The event is targeted to the most influential business and professional leaders and voters of the state of Florida. The event, one week before elections, will be an opportunity for the all voters to hear from business and political leaders on this key issue. Peter DeJoseph, president of the club’s Leadership Business Council, expects the event to have a very large turn out. Early registration is advised as we expect extensive media coverage”. Palm Beach resident and organizer of the event, Kathryn Grace Jordan, believes the theme of female leadership will “transcend political party and gender lines to reach the most influential segment of voters---young, affluent and educated voters--who are interested in knowing how female leadership will redefine future politics“. The Governor’s Club is a private club located in West Palm Beach, and is a subsidiary of Club Corp. Internationally, Club Corp's affiliates own or operate nearly 170 golf courses, country clubs, private business and sports clubs, and resorts.
