YPOP is celebrating the first year Anniversary of our new 2019 Mentor - Mentee Program between our Board Members as Mentors and YPOP Members as their Mentees, started by our 2019 Board Chair, Evelyn Hopkins. We had 28 Mentor-Mentee successful pairings that met on a monthly basis, that we will celebrate for acheiving their program completion goals. For YPOP members interested in applying to join this program for 2020 - we invite you to join us  for a night of networking, cocktails, and appetizers.  Also, please join us to learn more about local Palm Beach County turn-of-the-century millionaires who built this town via interesting stories told by Jeremy Johnson, the President and CEO of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. He will share stories of little known legends and stories of the characters who had a vision, starting in the 1880's, to put this town on the map, as a destination for the "rich and famous" and to bring trade via railroads from South America to the entire United States. We will take a tour of the Historical Society and see behind the scenes to see their inventory of historical museum photos and items, donated by founding families, of the Palm Beach Island and local area.

About the Speaker
Jeremy Johnson has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County since May 2011. Prior to joining the Historical Society, Jeremy was President of JRJ Partners, an independent consulting practice providing strategic planning and development support for businesses and nonprofits.  Before starting his own small business, he was the Vice- President of the South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association, where he promoted the interests of hospitals and healthcare providers among elected officials, the business community and the general public. Jeremy became a Certified Association Executive through the American Society of Association Executives in 2007, was selected as a Thought Leader for the Center for Bio-terrorism and All-Hazards Preparedness by Nova Southeastern University in 2006, and was selected as an Up & Comer for executives under 40 by the South Florida Business Journal in 2005. Jeremy is also a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County.  Born and raised in Palm Beach County, Jeremy comes from a long line of educators.  Jeremy earned a BA in Science in Political and Public Affairs Communication from Florida State University and is married to Sunni, with whom he has two young children.
