Communications Specialist
For over 25 years, McNicholas & Associates has provided public relations and public affairs leadership for some of Florida’s most influential businesses. We are seeking a Communications Specialist to lead and execute digital communications on behalf of a diverse range of clients. This role is responsible for developing and implementing content-driven strategies across social media, websites, email, and digital advertising. The ideal candidate has strong creative instincts, hands-on technical skills, and a strategic mindset to drive results across platforms. This position requires experience in content creation, web design, analytics monitoring and reporting, and managing social media campaigns.
Job Responsibilities:
· Create and lead social media strategy for McNicholas & Associates and its clients
· Design graphics and multimedia content for use across channels
· Develop content specific to each social platform, tailoring tone, format, and purpose accordingly
· Manage and deliver monthly social media strategy and content plans
· Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to develop and refine content
· Set and track goals and KPIs for paid and organic social media performance
· Review analytics from Google Analytics and platform insights to adjust and improve strategies
· Stay up to date on digital trends, tools, and best practices
· Support and coordinate web design updates and layout for client websites
· Communicate effectively with internal teams to manage timelines, assets, and feedback
Requirements and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field
· Minimum of two years of experience in digital strategy, content creation, or communications
· Proven experience developing and executing multi-platform digital campaigns
· Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences and platforms
· Graphic design experience creating content using tools such as Canva, Adobe platforms, or similar
· Experience managing content, engagement, and paid social strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok
· Understanding of Google Analytics with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to campaign strategy
· Familiarity with website platforms including WordPress, Wix, Framer, and Squarespace
· Ability to work in a dynamic work environment, with attention to detail and effective prioritization
· Familiarity with public affairs or advocacy campaigns is a plus
