About Us

Beachside Rehab is an Inpatient Mental Health Treatment Center. There is not one all-encompassing rehabilitation treatment that works for everyone. At Beachside Rehab, licensed therapists and medical professionals specialize in the treatment of Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders (SUDS) using evidence-based psychotherapy, which could include:

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): Useful for treating mood disorders, as well as improving ineffective emotional and behavioral responses to substance abuse. This modality is also very effective for treating Bipolar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Focuses on changing negative, distorted learned thought patterns, or cognitions, to improve behaviors and implement recovery-oriented responses. This treatment is highly successful in reducing impulse control, triggers, and negative self-talk while improving communication and relapse prevention skills.

Motivational Interviewing (MI): Patient-centered, addiction-specific therapeutic technique aimed at exploring and reducing ambivalence towards treatment. This non-judgmental approach uses empathy and encouragement as a catalyst for positive change and patient self-efficacy.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): A specialized trauma therapy technique that addresses the effects of traumatic events without re-living or talking through painful memories. Thoughts and memories are accessed and resolved through repeated side-to-side eye movements or hand tapping, provided by an EMDR-certified, licensed therapist.
