About Us
The Choral Society of the Palm Beaches was founded in 1962 was founded in 1962 by Shirley Spitzer Anschutz with Stan Doyle as its first director. The original name was “Community Chorus of North Palm Beach County”. As membership grew, the group changed its name to “The North County Choral Society” and eventually to “The Choral Society of the Palm Beaches, Inc.”
The Choral Society of the Palm Beaches exists to celebrate and promote the universal beauty and intrinsic value of the vocal arts for both its members and the community. It is our mission to make choral music accessible, inspiring, and enriching to all through high quality live performances of a wide variety of a a cappella and accompanied choral music.
