YMCA of the Palm Beaches Hosts Record Breaking Prayer Breakfast

Palm Beach, FL - The YMCA of the Palm Beaches hosted a record crowd of more than 450 attendees at its 15th Annual Prayer Breakfast, held last week at The Breakers Palm Beach. Highlighting the event was a Q&A with PGA TOUR Champion Rickie Fowler, moderated by WPEC/CBS12 News Anchor Matt Lincoln.

Fowler shared several entertaining stories from his 15 years on the PGA TOUR, as well as inspirational messages about the importance of serving as a role model for youth, and his profound joy of being a dad to he and his wife’s two daughters.

Fowler has recorded 10 professional victories and reached a career high 4th in the World Golf Rankings following his win at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. Fowler will kick off the new ‘TGL presented by SoFi’ golf league on January 7, 2025, launching at the new SoFi Stadium on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens. Beyond his golfing achievements, Fowler, a resident of Jupiter, FL, is known for his philanthropic endeavors and commitment to giving back to his community.

“We could not have been more pleased with the turnout and the engaging program at this year’s Prayer Breakfast,” said Tim Coffield, President and CEO of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. “Our guests are such enthusiastic supporters of our Y’s mission, and their collective generosity has been truly humbling.”

Anika and Jason Harkins of Jupiter, FL, served as Honorary Chairpersons for the event, which featured a presentation by the YMCA’s Board Chairman, Tim Leuliette, on the incredible progress being made on the Y’s $46M capital project.

All funds raised at the Prayer Breakfast will support the YMCA’s mission of strengthening community through programs that provide a healthy spirit, mind, and body for youth, families, adults and seniors throughout the YMCA of the Palm Beaches’ Palm Beach County territory.
