DESCRIPTION:ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED: Purchase a ticket at the door for $35\n\n\n\nJoin us for Armory Art Center Artist Showcase where we will proudly display the work of three different artists\, as well as have a demonstration.  \n\nLearn about Armory Art Center and all the classes and workshops it has to offer. Use this as a stepping stone to get involved in the art community in Palm Beach. \n\n\n\nAbout Armory Art Center: \n\nHoused in a historic art deco building\, the Armory Art Center provides art classes for artist of all ages and abilities\, exhibitions\, art salons\, lectures\, and special events. Nearly 100 courses\, held in 12 state-of-the-art studios\, are offered in ceramics\, digital arts\, drawing\, jewelry\, painting\, printmaking\, fibers\, sculpture\, welding\, and wood turning are offered each year.\n\n\n\n*Lite bites and drink tickets will be provided*\n\n\n\nBring a donation of art supplies: markers\, colored pencils\, paper\, clay\, paint\, etc. for the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County\, to help support future artists. \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Artists: \n\n	Debra Snyder: Alcohol Ink on Tile. Debra will demo how to create abstract\, landscape\, tropical and/or floral designs with various techniques. Alcohol inks have extremely vibrant colors due to heavy pigmentation. Alcohol ink is a fun and unique medium\, allowing for simple creative freedom.  \n	Alicia Jane Boswell: Torch Fire Enamel Demonstration. Fusing vibrant colors of vitreous enamel/powered glass on precious metal with only a metalsmithing torch\, this demonstration will cover how to use delicate layers of glass in order to make contemporary designs and patterns for wearable jewelry.\n	Mark Walnock and Stephen Futej: Wheelwork. Enjoy a wheel demonstration and a hand built sculpting demonstrations. Learn more about clay with these demonstrations using two primary techniques- throwing a vessel on the pottery wheel\, and hand building a sculpture using freeform sculpting methods and slab construction. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtists work L-R \n\nDebra Snyder\, Alicia Jane Boswell\, Mark Walnock
