The World Health Organization predicts work related stress and burnout will be among the world's most prevalent disease by 2020\, joining killers like stroke and diabetes. Job stress can lead to a host of unpleasant results\, from distraction and inattentiveness to lack of communication and poor work performance as well as being a major contributor to  illness. \n\nResearch reports mindfulness training is an effective tool  to combat the devastating effects of stress on work place performance\,. Mindfulness is a way to direct\, sustain and develop attention. It enables people to develop powerful and creative inner resources like resilience and flexibility\, which in turn\, enables greater ability to handle short and long term challenging and stressful situations. Learning to be more mindful fosters greater responsibility and the ability to make informed decisions rather than reacting to immediate circumstances.  \n\n                  In this seminar\, we will discuss the impact of stress on the body\, the mind and work performance\; identify the signs of stress and your personal stress reaction and learn basic mindfulness techniques to help you respond more effectively to challenging situations.
