October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, so we are bringing together a panel of experts from complimentary fields to give attendees a look at cybersecurity from a 360-degree perspective and offer real-world insights to protect your business. In today’s digital landscape, a data breach is unfortunately, not a matter of if, but when. This robust panel will cover:
- Best practices for developing an Incident Response Plan (IRP), essential to businesses of all sizes
- How to communicate effectively with clients and customers after a breach
- Which law enforcement agencies to involve and when
- How to mitigate financial and reputational impact
- How to avoid litigation stemming from a data breach
- Real-life incidents – how they happened and how to avoid them happening to your business
- Actionable advice to take back to your team to strengthen your infrastructure and feel confident in your ability to respond to a cyberattack.

Robert W. Wilkins, Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, Jones Foster
Rob Wilkins is a Florida Bar Board Certified attorney in Business Litigation with more than 35 years of experience as a trial lawyer. Rob represents clients in complex business litigation matters and also has a deep understanding of technology-related legal issues, including eDiscovery, cybersecurity, and data privacy. He currently serves as co-chair of the Data Security Subcommittee of the ABA Section of Litigation’s CBL Committee, is a member of The Florida Bar’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Law Committee and is a longstanding member of the Sedona Conference Working Group 11, Data Security and Privacy Liability.

As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Chuck Poole has consulted with a wide range of businesses on industry regulation, compliance, and the hardening of their cyber defenses. He has developed software for the United Nations, FBI, CIA, Bahamas Telecom, Cosmopolitan Magazine, MTV, and hundreds of other international and governmental organizations.
Don Silver, COO & Crisis Communications Practice Co-Chair, Boardroom PR
Don Silver has more than 30 years of successful public relations and national marketing management experience and works with many of the state’s top entrepreneurs, corporations, nonprofits, schools and law firms in crisis planning, reputation management, public relations, marketing, community outreach and online and search engine marketing. He is a frequent speaker, moderator and author on topics including handling a crisis in your business and designing a crisis plan.
Travis Jones, Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation
Travis Jones is a Special Agent with the FBI in the West Palm Beach office of the Miami Division. He and his squad handle global counterintelligence and both national security and criminal cyber matters. Prior to joining the FBI, Travis worked as a manager of Information Technology, as the lead programmer for a home/business automation company, as an adjunct faculty member for a Florida University, and as a prosecutor with a State Attorney’s Office in Florida. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science, an MBA, and a Juris Doctor degree.
