Join Palm Beach Day Academy on Wednesday, January 22 at 8:15am in our Lower Campus' Fisher Media Center as we welcome Thomas Lickona, Ph.D. for a discussion on fostering good character in an unkind culture.
In an effort to keep the PBDA parent community informed of current trends in learning, psychology, technology and more, the PBDA On Topic parenting series invites both current and prospective families, as well as members of the Palm Beach County community, for a morning of discussion and continued education.
Thomas Lickona, Ph.D., is a psychologist and educator who has been called “the father of modern character education.” A professor of education emeritus at State University of New York, Cortland, he is the founding director of his university's Center for the 4th and 5th Rs (Respect and Responsibility) and author of nine books on moral development and character education, including Raising Good Children, Educating for Character, Character Matters, Sex, Love, and You, and How to Raise Kind Kids (April 2018).
