About

Alzheimer’s Community Care (ACC) was founded in 1996 by a group of Florida residents who were concerned about the growing number of people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related neurocognitive disorders. They strongly believed in establishing a community-based organization for dementia patients and their caregivers that would provide them with an environment explicitly planned for their safety and security, health, and well-being, while preserving their dignity throughout the disease process. Today, Alzheimer’s Community Care is the largest provider of community-based, dementia-specific services in Florida. The organization has 7 core services, over 80 full-time care and operational professionals serving the organization, and 11 Specialized Alzheimer’s Licensed Day Centers. Alzheimer’s Community Care (ACC) is dedicated to promoting and providing community-based, family-centered care for caregivers and their loved ones living with neurocognitive disorders, through the belief that where there is help, there is hope.
