Description
Every entrepreneur and small business owner needs a trusted team of expert advisors. The Small Business Workshop is a monthly series offering free, practical guidance to help you protect and grow your business. Each session features expert-led instruction on essential topics like finance, marketing, operations, and legal protection, giving you the tools and knowledge to strengthen your business today and plan confidently for tomorrow.
Presented by the Hispanic Entrepreneur Initiative, with the support of the Avanza Palm Beaches Committee.
Join us for an interactive small business workshop designed to help local entrepreneurs and small business owners understand how to do business with the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County (SWA).
Led by Colleen Robbs, Director of the Equal Business Opportunity Office, this session will provide a practical overview of SWA and the opportunities available to certified and aspiring small business vendors. Attendees will learn how to navigate the vendor process, leverage SBE certification, and identify current and upcoming contract opportunities.
Topics will include:
-
An overview of the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County
-
The benefits of becoming an SWA vendor
-
How to effectively use your SBE certification
-
Current contracting opportunities
-
Networking and future workshop resources
The session will be highly interactive, with ample time for questions, discussion, and direct engagement. This workshop is ideal for small business owners, contractors, and entrepreneurs looking to expand their footprint through public-sector partnerships.
