Senior Account Manager – Public Relations

Posted: 10/17/2025

We are seeking an accomplished and resourceful Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic Public Relations team. This pivotal role demands exceptional communication abilities, a keen understanding of the media landscape, and proven expertise in managing client relationships and executing multi-faceted campaign strategies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is driven by a passion for narrative-building, and excels at balancing multiple client priorities with precision and poise.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will lead strategic client initiatives, provide high-level counsel, and serve as a key liaison between the client and the agency team. You’ll be expected to manage larger or more complex accounts independently, guide junior staff and proactively identify opportunities for client growth. This role involves direct collaboration with agency leadership to shape long-term strategies and elevate client visibility in key markets.

Our agency values a collaborative approach—while each Senior Account Manager manages specific accounts, every client benefits from the shared insight and experience of our leadership team and seasoned professionals. This team-driven philosophy guarantees that both our clients and our team achieve exceptional results through strategic innovation and collective expertise. Client retention is one of the Senior Account Manager’s primary goals.

We operate on a hybrid model – day-to-day office work is remote, but in-person client meetings and event attendance require South Florida residence.

Qualifications:
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in a public relations or communications role (agency experience strongly preferred).
• The Senior Account Manager must juggle multiple accounts simultaneously – all within a fast paced environment. Demonstrated experience managing complex or high-profile client relationships.
• Excellent writing, especially AP Style – writing samples will be requested
• Proven track record of successfully working with print, broadcast, online and social media to generate publicity through pitching and media relationships—strong focus on South Florida earned media.
• Experience in providing senior-level counsel to clients on messaging, media relations, crisis management and strategic communications.
• Ability to manage budgets, oversee client scopes of work and ensure profitability on accounts. • Ability to work independently, provide follow-through, show meticulous attention to detail and meet deadlines. The Senior Account Manager is organized, self-starter, motivated, collaborative team player and disciplined professional; an opportunist who goes above and beyond expectations with passion.
• Creative and strategic thinker with a solutions-oriented approach. Has the ability to think just beyond tasks and day-to-day to include the big picture for each client.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Ability to be proactive, and to own client and agency challenges as their own, as they will with successes. Ability to define issues, diagnose problems, provide solution-based recommendations and take ownership and responsibility for issues and decisions.
• Take constructive criticism – understanding that there is always room for improvement.
• Experience with business development or agency growth initiatives is a plus.

We offer competitive pay, along with a 401(k) plan and health insurance benefits or an allowance toward personal coverage. Our flexible PTO includes more than five weeks of time off, comprised of vacation days, traditional holidays, rotating summer Fridays, flex days and more.
