About Us
Our Mission Statement
To empower adults with disabilities and their caregivers using Fashion, Art and Design on their path to achieve artistic recognition, dignity and financial independence.
We focus on three areas:
• ActiveArt: Inclusive field trips where our “Creatives” connect with local artists, explore various mediums, and engage with the community.
• ArtAbilities: Hands-on sessions where participants discover and develop their artistic talents across ceramics, acting, dancing, painting, and textile arts.
• FashionAble:
Our FashionAble 101 is tailored programs designed to meet the abilities of each participant or the needs of partnering organizations.
Our Follow The Thread initiative is a 20-week entrepreneurial program where creative teams (adults with disabilities and caregivers) learn sustainable fashion techniques, e-commerce photography, branding, and business planning. Graduates leave with business cards, a catalog, an online presence, and a collection showcased at our FashionFest.
