Founded in 1933 as Florida’s first public community college, Palm Beach State College has been an integral player in the growth and prosperity of Palm Beach County. Our graduates impact every industry and are community and business leaders. With more than 130 programs of study, PBSC offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, professional certificates, career training and lifelong learning. More than 36,000 students enroll annually in face-to-face, online, live online and hybrid classes at five convenient locations in Lake Worth, Boca Raton, Palm Beach Gardens, Belle Glade and Loxahatchee Groves. Barbara Cipriano
Barbara is the Provost at Palm Beach State College, Lake Worth campus. She was born in Poland and grew up in New Jersey. She received an M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Barry University, a B.S. in Business Administration from St. Peter’s University, a certificate in Emergency Management Supervision from Palm Beach State College and has completed all coursework towards a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership at Florida Atlantic University.
Barbara is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County, Leadership Palms West, and the Chair Academy. She served as the institutional representative for the American Council on Education Women’s Network of Florida and is a current trustee of the Boca Raton Police Foundation. She is also involved in community organizations and chambers supporting the College and has served as the United Way College representative and is a member of the West Palm Beach Education Advisory committee.
