About Us
The Cox Science Center and Aquarium’s mission is to inspire, engage, and educate our guests with an immersive journey that empowers them to embrace the promise of science. Our purpose is to open every mind to science. The Center features hands-on educational exhibits, a 10,000-gallon fresh and saltwater aquarium, a quarter mile long outdoor science trail, observatory, STEAM Cart activities and more. In 2021, the Center launched a transformative capital expansion campaign. Construction began in May 2024 with completion expected in 2027.
