On the Move: Jones Foster Relocates Palm Beach Office, Expanding Legal Services on Island
PALM BEACH, FL – Jones Foster, a commercial and private client law firm, is pleased to announce the relocation of its Palm Beach office to an expanded suite on Royal Palm Way, strengthening its century-long presence in Palm Beach County alongside the firm’s flagship West Palm Beach office and its Jupiter location.
The new location at 240 Royal Palm Way, Suite 200, offers a larger footprint with additional offices and a private meeting space for clients. In addition to its long-standing Real Estate practice, the new office will broaden its scope to include Private Wealth, Wills, Trusts & Estates and Corporate & Tax, enabling Palm Beach clients to access full estate and tax planning services.
The move underscores Jones Foster’s commitment to supporting the island’s evolving legal needs and the individuals, families, and institutions it has served for decades. Heading the Palm Beach office is Shareholder L. Benton “Ben” Alexander, Jr., a Florida Bar Board Certified Real Estate attorney and Vice Chair of the Real Estate practice group, who oversaw the firm’s initial Palm Beach office opening in 2014.
“Opening our office in 2014 allowed us to become more accessible and responsive to our clients who live and work in Town,” said Mr. Alexander, a longtime Palm Beach resident. “As Jones Foster leans into its second century in business, we continue to look for ways to further enhance our generational relationships within the community. More residents are seeking high-level estate, tax, and wealth planning to complement their corporate and real estate needs, so expanding on-island services in these areas is a natural progression. Palm Beach is growing and changing in meaningful ways, and this move positions our team for the next decade of service to our clients and the Town.”
The expansion of legal services will include private wealth and tax attorney Alexander M. Parthemer, who will serve Palm Beach-based clients from the new office space, providing counsel in complex estate planning, trust administration, tax planning, and generational wealth transfer services. In addition to a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, Mr. Parthemer received an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law and an MBA from Stetson University School of Business Administration.
Jones Foster’s deeply-rooted history in Palm Beach includes 46 years of legal representation of the Town of Palm Beach—an enduring relationship shaped by the tenured service of John “Skip” C. Randolph and his successor, Joanne M. O’Connor, who is the current Town Attorney. Ms. O’Connor advises the Town, its elected officials, and staff on a wide range of legal matters, including contracts, land use and zoning, ordinances, and regulatory compliance, and oversees the Town’s litigation. Before being named Town Attorney in 2023, Ms. O’Connor represented the Town in litigation involving complex land use, real estate, zoning, and constitutional issues.
The firm’s attorneys have and continue to serve as leaders in various organizations founded in the Town to support local advocacy in the community and improve the quality of life for its residents. Ben Alexander has held significant leadership roles in community and industry organizations, including as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for Palm Beach Day Academy, President of the Royal Poinciana Chapel, and Treasurer of The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach. Shareholder Larry B. Alexander, a Florida Bar Board Certified Real Estate attorney and former chairman of the firm, has served the community through leadership roles in local foundations, including the Mary Alice Fortin Foundation and the William H. Pitt Foundation, educational institutions, charitable organizations, and trusts. Shareholder David E. Bowers, a Florida Bar Board Certified Tax attorney, is the longtime chairman of the Professional Endowment Committee for the Palm Beach-based Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adults (RCCA), and corporate attorney Kevin T. Lamb has been a director of the Palm Beach Civic Association for more than 15 years, where he also serves on its Public Safety and Intracoastal/Lagoon committees.
