PALM BEACH COUNTY ACHIEVES FOURTH STRAIGHT RECORD YEAR, SURPASSING $260 MILLION IN FILM AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION
PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - March 3, 2026 – The Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission (FTC) announces its fourth consecutive year of record-breaking production spend, exceeding $260 million in 2025. This marks a 3% increase over the previous year’s record of $253 million and further reinforces The Palm Beaches as one of Florida’s premier production destinations.
The milestone caps another strong year for film, television, commercial, documentaries, televised live events, still photography and digital media production throughout the County, reflecting sustained demand for the region’s diverse locations and production-ready infrastructure.
“Achieving four consecutive years of record-breaking production spend, speaks to the strength and resilience of our local industry. Our production community has built a sustainable economic engine that generates millions of dollars annually, strengthens tourism, supports workforce development, and positions Palm Beach County as a serious production market. This success belongs to our entire creative community, and we are deeply grateful to our one-stop permitting partners including our municipalities and taxing districts whose collaboration and efficiency make it possible for productions to work seamlessly throughout Palm Beach County,” said Michelle Hillery, Film Commissioner, Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission.
Strong Industry Performance in 2025
The Commission reported steady growth across several key performance indicators:
• Production Revenue: $260.5 million
• Hotel Room Nights: 20,055
• Production Days: 9,936
• Total Productions: 602
• Permits Issued: 323
Powered by Local Production Companies
A substantial portion of this year’s record-breaking revenue was driven by the strength and capabilities of Palm Beach County’s local production companies. From television series and branded content to tourism programming and televised live event coverage, homegrown production firms continue to elevate the region’s creative reputation while keeping jobs, services, and spending local.
Diverse Productions Across Platforms
This continued growth is reflected in both the scale and diversity of productions choosing The Palm Beaches. Projects filmed throughout the year spanned feature films, streaming series, network television, digital media, commercials, and live broadcasts, underscoring the region’s versatility as a production destination.
Film, television, and streaming credits included Melania (Amazon), Members Only: Palm Beach (Netflix), The Rip (Netflix), House Hunters (HGTV), Conversation Nation with Jeff Corwin (ABC), Welcome to Plathville (TLC), and SC Featured (ESPN). Digital creator MrBeast also selected The Palm Beaches on three separate occasions, producing content for his audience of more than 400 million subscribers.
National commercial campaigns further elevated the destination, with brands such as TMG South Med featuring Sylvester Stallone, RO featuring Serena Williams, Google, AT&T, Adidas, New Balance, American Outfitters, Sports Illustrated, Cadillac, Gillette, Lincoln, DraftKings, Ragu, and Wyndham Hotels filming locally, along with high-profile photoshoots for Bergdorf Goodman, Aerie, and Now Optics.
Live event production was another key contributor to the year’s success. The launch of TGL by TMRW Sports Group marked a defining moment for Palm Beach County, establishing a nationally televised sports property rooted in the destination. Coverage of the 2025 U.S. Open Polo Championship on ESPN and The Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches across Golf Channel, NBC, Peacock, and ESPN+, along with Major League Baseball Spring Training for the Astros, Cardinals, Marlins, and Nationals, plus FAU athletics, significantly expanded the county’s broadcast reach.
Supported by more than 150 production-related companies, including global broadcaster Olympusat, live event leader Multi Image Group, and the continued expansion of Newsmax Media, The Palm Beaches offer the infrastructure and expertise to sustain high-level, year-round production, reinforcing its position as a premier hub for sports and entertainment content creation.
Production Supporting Record Tourism Growth
Film and television production continues to contribute to Palm Beach County’s broader tourism growth, with visiting crews adding to overall visitation and spending. In collaboration with Tourist Development Council agencies, including Discover The Palm Beaches, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, and the Palm Beach County Convention Center, the destination welcomed more than 10.7 million visitors in 2025, surpassing 9.9 million in 2024. Preliminary estimates show visitor spending reaching $7.7 billion, up from $7.2 billion, with total economic impact rising to $11.7 billion compared to $10.5 billion the prior year.
Expanding Marketing, Awards, and Education
Beyond direct production activity, the Commission continues to expand its marketing and community engagement efforts. Nearly 140 hours of tourism-branded content now stream on The Palm Beaches TV, Palm Beach County’s official tourism TV Channel, with additional programming planned for FY26. Palm Beaches TV productions earned 10 Telly Awards and one Emmy nomination this year, underscoring the growing national recognition of locally produced content.
The Commission’s educational initiatives are also thriving. The upcoming 31st Annual Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films, Florida’s largest student film competition and award show achieved a record-breaking 636 submissions from 95 schools statewide, awarding more than $30,000 in cash prizes and scholarships while fostering the next generation of filmmakers.
Building Momentum for 2026
While Florida remains one of only 12 states without a statewide film incentive program and regional competition continues to intensify, Palm Beach County’s sustained performance demonstrates the strength and adaptability of its production ecosystem. Strategic partnerships, proactive marketing, strong local production capacity, and agency collaboration continue to position The Palm Beaches as a competitive alternative to larger production markets.
With a strong pipeline of active leads and projects progressing into early 2026, the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission anticipates continued growth.
