Palm Beach County Lawyers Unite to Combat Antisemitism and Promote Unity with New Jewish Lawyers Association

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – In recent times of divisiveness and increased antisemitism, a group of Palm Beach County lawyers have joined together to form an organization committed to the legal profession, support of their Jewish ancestry and the State of Israel and freedom of religious practice.
The Jewish Lawyers Association of Palm Beach County strives to unite and represent the interests of Jewish attorneys and allies with a commitment to compassion and the pursuit of a more just and tolerant world.
Founding President Gary S. Lesser said there has been talk of starting a Jewish lawyers association for many years, but with significantly increasing antisemitism, the time to make it happen is now.
“Jewish lawyers, Jewish judges, and our allies will deliver programming that will strengthen our Jewish cultural heritage, fight antisemitism and hatred, and help bring our community together while doing so,” Lesser said. “There are many Jewish lawyers in Palm Beach County, and we are encouraged by the support of our non-Jewish allies. We really think we have some meaningful dialogue and make things better here in our community.”
Joining the Jewish Lawyers Association of Palm Beach County provides the opportunity to become part of a dynamic community of Jewish American legal professionals committed to mutual support and professional growth. Membership is open to all professionals connected to law or insurance.
The group marks the start of its inaugural year on Aug. 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Palm Beach County Historic 1916 Courthouse. This will a community-wide event with an anticipated huge turnout featuring guest speakers Congresswoman Lois Frankel, Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Carlos Muñiz and West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James.
