Quantum Foundation Appoints Two New Board Members and Welcomes New Grants Committee Member
Michael Dixon, CPA/PFS and Aldo Palles, Join Board; Julie Fisher Cummings Appointed to Grants Committee
(WEST PALM BEACH, FLA) – Quantum Foundation has announced the appointment of Michael Dixon, CPA/PFS and Aldo Palles, to its Board of Directors, and the addition of Julie Fisher Cummings to its Grants Committee, strengthening the foundation’s leadership as it continues to advance innovative, community-driven philanthropy across Palm Beach County.
“We are pleased to welcome Michael, Aldo and Julie to the Quantum Foundation family,” said Eric Kelly, president of Quantum Foundation. “Each brings a deep commitment to community impact, thoughtful stewardship and strategic expertise that will further our mission and strengthen our work in the region.”
Julie Fisher Cummings, who resides in West Palm Beach, is newly appointed to Quantum Foundation’s Grants Committee, is a nationally recognized advocate for policies advancing health, education and philanthropy, with a focus on underserved children and families. She co-founded the Lovelight Foundation, addressing domestic child sex trafficking, underserved women and girls, and early childhood education and care, and has helped build effective public-private partnerships and funding networks in Florida and nationally. Cummings served as an executive producer of the award-winning 2017 documentary “I Am Jane Doe” and previously taught child policy as an assistant adjunct professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She holds a master’s degree in social policy from Columbia University’s School of Social Work.
Michael Dixon, CPA/PFS, a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, is a licensed certified public accountant and personal financial specialist and serves as a financial advisor at Your Planning Partner, LLC. Over the course of his career, Dixon has held senior leadership roles in banking, public accounting, family office management and financial services, including founding Dixon & Associates, Inc., and serving as chief financial officer for a national financial services organization. A graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, he has long been active in civic and philanthropic leadership, including previously serving as chair of Quantum Foundation’s Finance and Investment Committee.
Aldo Palles, a resident of West Palm Beach, is a partner and portfolio manager at the Palm Beach office of Evercore Wealth Management and a managing director at Evercore Trust Company N.A., where he provides global investment management services to families, foundations and endowments. He previously held senior roles at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, Crestmark Investment Management and GenSpring Family Offices, and has also served as an assistant professor of applied finance and accounting at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Palles holds multiple advanced degrees in finance and accountancy and several professional designations, including chartered financial analyst and certified financial planner.
