About

Formed in 1986, the Armory Art Center occupies the Old West Palm Beach Armory building, built in 1939 by President Roosevelt’s Works Progress Administration. ADULT EDUCATION • Studio classes, open studio, and private instruction • Weekend, specialty, and visiting Master Artist workshops • Lectures and artist salons • BraveHeARTS art therapy for veterans with PTSD • Artist-in-Residence program for emerging artists YOUTH EDUCATION • Year-round youth classes • Summer Art Camp, including intensive art training for teens and teen volunteer program • Needs-based scholarships COMMUNITY EDUCATION & OUTREACH • Annually 8+ exhibits are curated for the Armory’s 3 art galleries. Free, including meet-the-artist receptions, lectures, etc. • The Armory’s annual 2-day Creative Market art festival features 80+ artists booths, demonstrations, a juried art exhibition, art studio tours, family art activities, and live performances. Free.
