HOMESAFE ANNOUNCES MIKE BRUNO AS INCOMING BOARD PRESIDENT
Longtime board member and financial services leader to guide organization's mission of protecting children and strengthening families across South Florida
(Lake Worth, Fla.) – HomeSafe is proud to announce that Mike Bruno, CFA, will assume the role of board president effective July 1, 2026, beginning a two-year term leading the organization's board of directors.
Bruno, a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor with Cresset Capital's West Palm Beach office, brings nearly two decades of financial services experience and a longstanding commitment to community service. A proud alumnus of the University of Florida, he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). A resident of Jupiter, Bruno lives with his wife and two sons.
"It is an honor to serve as board president of HomeSafe," said Bruno. "Over the years, seeing firsthand the difference HomeSafe makes in the lives of children and families has only deepened my commitment to its mission. I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members, staff and supporters to continue that important work."
A dedicated member of the HomeSafe Board of Directors since November 2018, Bruno has served in several leadership roles, including secretary, treasurer, president-elect and now board president. Throughout his tenure, he has contributed his expertise through service on the audit, finance and investment committees while helping strengthen the organization's governance and financial stewardship.
In addition to his service with HomeSafe, Bruno supports Southeast Florida Honor Flight, a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to honoring veterans by providing them with the opportunity to visit their memorials in Washington, D.C.
HomeSafe is a nationally accredited nonprofit protecting Palm Beach County’s and South Florida’s most vulnerable residents – victims of child abuse and domestic violence. Through its results-driven approach, the organization is a leading provider of prevention and intervention services, serving more than 15,000 infants, children, young adults and families each year. HomeSafe is one of just five specialized therapeutic group care agencies in the state of Florida—the only one in Southeast Florida.
Bruno succeeds Roberto Vargas, who served as board president during the past two years. HomeSafe extends its gratitude to Vargas for his leadership, service and dedication to the organization and the families it serves.
"We are excited to welcome Mike Bruno as our next board president," said Matthew Ladika, CEO of HomeSafe. "He brings a thoughtful leadership style, a strong understanding of our mission and a genuine desire to help children and families thrive. Mike has been an engaged and trusted member of our board, and I look forward to working alongside him as we continue building on HomeSafe's legacy of service throughout South Florida."
